I am a highly dedicated and motivated journalist with a particular interest in music and the court and legal system. I graduated from Swinburne University with a Bachelor Degree in Journalism in November 2014 and later commenced employment as a reporter at The Moorabool News.
My writing has appeared in print or online in The Age, The Courier, The Moorabool News, The Miner, The Riverine Herald, The Border Mail, YMCA Youth Parliament Press Gallery, The Burn, Global Hobo, Autosea, New Rhythms Music, 6AM at the Garage and The Federation of Young Australians.
In January 2016 I travelled to Indonesia, where I spent four weeks exploring the island and working with representatives from Lonely Planet, Vice, Huffington Post and Global Hobo in the creation of a travel guide.
For a period of three-months, I played a major role in researching the history of Ballan District Health and Care and as a result of that work, was contracted to write the history into a book during the second half of 2016. ‘People with the right spirit’ was officially launched on March 17 2017, with all proceeds of the book donated to the hospital and health service.
As a result of my contribution to Ballan District Health and Care and The Moorabool News, I was awarded a Moorabool Shire Council Youth Award in May 2017.
