Video of accused killer Christopher Trotter talking with police about his whereabouts on the day of Keith Foggin’s disappearance, has been played to a jury.

The footage, played in the Supreme Court of Victoria last week, showed a relaxed Trotter tell police he returned Mr Foggin’s XD Ford station wagon to him prior to his departure at about 10:30am on September 24, 2015.

Mr Foggin had planned to travel to Queensland to live with his family, but he has not been heard from since that day. His body has never been found.

The footage presented to the jury showed Trotter tell Missing Person squad detectives he drove his white Ford utility to his friend Paul’s house, before picking up the XD Ford station wagon and returning it to his workshop, Maddingley Car Care.

He said he “guaranteed” that Mr Foggin left in the vehicle, and that the 46-year-old had planned to return on September 30 to repay money that he owed.

However, a Missing Person squad detective referred to Mr Trotter’s story as a “web of lies”.
